FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions people ask Cullman Epoxy Flooring most about epoxy flooring in Cullman, Alabama.
How much does epoxy flooring cost in Cullman, Alabama?
Price follows the floor: its size, how much grinding and repair it needs, whether old paint or sealer must come off, and which system and finish you choose. The free estimate gives a figure for your floor rather than a generic range.
Is epoxy flooring a good choice for garages in North Alabama?
For most garages, yes. A coated floor sweeps and mops clean, stands up to oil and road grime better than bare concrete, and brightens the room. The slab is checked first for moisture and contamination, the usual causes of coating failure.
How long does it take to install an epoxy garage floor?
Plan on one to several days, depending on prep, repairs and how many coats the system needs. Vehicles then wait for the coating to cure; the estimate gives the expected timeline for the product chosen.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic flooring?
Epoxy gives a longer working time and is often used as the base layer. Polyaspartic sets faster and holds its color better in sunlight, so it is a common topcoat. The polyaspartic page compares them in more detail.
Can epoxy flooring be installed over old or cracked concrete?
Often, yes. Old slabs are ground to remove contamination and old coatings, and cracks are filled before coating. Concrete that is still moving or damp needs that fixed first, and you will be told if a coating is not a good idea.
Will an epoxy garage floor be slippery when it gets wet?
A smooth coating can be slick when wet, like tile or sealed stone. Flakes and anti-slip grit add traction, and they are recommended near doors, ramps and anywhere water gets in.
How should I clean and maintain my epoxy floor?
Sweep or dust-mop grit regularly, wipe spills early, and wash with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Skip harsh solvents unless the coating maker says they are safe, and put pads under kickstands and jacks.
Do you serve Hartselle, Decatur, Madison, Athens, and Russellville?
Yes. All six towns, Cullman, Hartselle, Decatur, Madison, Athens and Russellville, are in the service area, and scheduling depends on the location. Call or send the estimate form with your address.
Do you offer polyaspartic as well as epoxy?
Yes. Polyaspartic coatings are one of our three services, often used as a fast-curing, UV-resistant topcoat. See the polyaspartic page.
Can you seal a driveway or patio?
